What a weekend.
The JoinTheRun Summer 10K Weekend brought together 200 runners from across the UK for three days of running, community and plenty of miles, and we’re incredibly proud of what everyone achieved.
Across the weekend, runners collectively covered an incredible 2,420.8km.
That’s 200 people, all taking on the same challenge in their own way, wherever they happened to be. And while the kilometres are impressive, it was everything happening around those runs that made the weekend so special.
More Than Just 10K
The JoinTheRun 10K Weekend isn’t about standing on the same start line. It’s about creating a shared experience for runners, wherever they are.
Throughout the weekend, we loved seeing everyone’s activities come through, from early morning runs and local routes to running with friends, family and four-legged companions.
The photos, Garmin screenshots, Strava uploads and finish-line smiles gave us a brilliant insight into how everyone took on their 10K.
It was fantastic to see the community cheering each other on, sharing achievements and encouraging runners to get out there and complete their challenge.
2,420.8km Together
Individually, 10K might feel like just one run.
Collectively, 2,420.8km is something pretty special.
Every kilometre added to the total represented someone making time for their run, pushing themselves towards a goal and becoming part of the JoinTheRun community.
Whether it was your fastest 10K, your first 10K, a training run for a bigger race or simply an excuse to get outside – every activity counted.
Raising £400 for The Running Charity
The Summer 10K Weekend was also about making a difference beyond running.
Thanks to the incredible support of everyone who entered, we were able to raise £400 for The Running Charity.
We’re incredibly proud that our events can combine something we all love with the opportunity to support organisations doing important work within the running community.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make that possible.
The Feedback Has Been Incredible
We’ve received loads of positive feedback from runners following the weekend, and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of putting the event together.
From the flexibility of a virtual event to the motivation of having a challenge to complete, runners told us how much they enjoyed being part of something bigger.
But perhaps the biggest compliment has been seeing so many people asking when the next event is.
That’s exactly what we hoped to create when JoinTheRun started, a community where runners can find motivation, celebrate their achievements and feel like they’re part of something.

The JoinTheRun Community Keeps Growing
And the community isn’t stopping there.
Our JoinTheRun Strava Club has now grown to 390 members, giving runners another place to connect, share their activities and keep each other motivated throughout the year.
It’s amazing to look back at where JoinTheRun started and see how quickly the community is growing.
The 10K Weekend is just one part of it.
What’s Next?
We’ve already got more to look forward to.
Halloween 10K Weekend — 31 October – 1 November
Christmas 10K Weekend — 26 – 28 December
And we’re also working behind the scenes on something completely new…
More details about the Challenge Club will be announced soon, but we’re incredibly excited about what’s coming.
Thank You
To all 200 runners who took part in the Summer 10K Weekend – thank you.
Thank you for running, sharing your photos, posting your activities, encouraging other runners and helping us create something that feels much bigger than a virtual 10K.
Together, you covered 2,420.8km, raised £400 for The Running Charity, and helped make the Summer 10K Weekend our biggest and most exciting event yet.
We’ll see you at the next start line.
Run. Connect. Inspire.
