Running in London doesn’t have to mean busy pavements and traffic lights. Underground Run Club, based in Camden, takes a fresh approach, mixing relaxed social runs with adventurous explorations of the city’s trails.
When & Where They Meet
Summer Fridays: A 5km social run followed by post-run beers. Meeting point is 5pm in Camden, the perfect way to kick off the weekend.
Saturdays: A 9am meet-up to take on different sections of the Capital Ring — a 78-mile trail loop circling London.
Distances & Pace
Underground Run Club welcomes a wide range of abilities. Runs typically range from 5km socials to 15km+ long runs. The pace is relaxed, usually no faster than 6:30min/km, ensuring no one gets left behind.
The Vibe
Inclusivity is at the heart of the club. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll find a friendly, laid-back atmosphere where the focus is on discovering new routes and enjoying the run together.
Club Highlights
The standout on their calendar is The Spiral — a 6-hour endurance track race that’s sold out for 18 October in London. Designed to test the mind as much as the legs, it’s a unique challenge unlike anything else in the UK running scene.
