Event Type: Multi-Terrain Trail Race
Distance: 14K / approximately 8.5 miles

The Waseley Wobbler returns in September 2026 with a challenging multi-terrain route across the Waseley and Lickey Hills. Organised by Bromsgrove & Redditch Athletic Club, this long-running local favourite combines steep climbs, countryside trails, fields, stiles and potentially plenty of mud.

About the Event

Starting and finishing at Waseley Hills High School, the Waseley Wobbler takes runners on a tough but scenic loop through the surrounding countryside. The route features four major climbs, with sections across fields, woodland trails, stiles, tarmac and stoney paths.

With around 1,100ft of climbing, this is a proper challenge despite being shorter than a traditional 10-mile race. The course is well marked and marshalled, making it a good option for runners who have completed a 10K and want to test themselves on more demanding terrain.

The event has a history stretching back to the early 1980s, when it began as a much longer 15-mile hill race. It has since evolved into its current multi-terrain format while retaining its reputation for big hills and spectacular views.
