The Run Sunderland / SG Petch Sunderland City Runs is one of the North East’s largest running festivals, taking place over a weekend of city streets, coastal views and enthusiastic support. Race Description

The event begins with a Saturday evening 5K set against the city’s modern landmarks such as the Keel Crossing footbridge; a scenic, fast route suitable for runners of all levels. Sunday’s main programme features a 10K and Half Marathon that take in the urban heart of Sunderland before heading out towards the waterfront, providing a mix of closed-road city running and scenic coastal segments. The course is designed for fast times as well as community participation, with medals and goody bags for finishers.
