The Cycle 42 for Cancer returns in 2026 for its 10th year, bringing runners and cyclists together to raise vital funds for cancer services across Somerset.
Whether you prefer running or cycling, there are several challenges to choose from, making this a great event for individuals, couples, families and teams. The event has grown significantly since it began and continues to support cancer care across the county.
About the Event
Cycle 42 for Cancer was established after the organisers' families were affected by cancer and received treatment at the Beacon Centre. What began as a small cycling event has developed into a multi-distance challenge attracting runners and cyclists from across the region.
The 2026 event offers three cycling distances alongside a 10K run and half marathon. The cycling challenges range from the 22-mile Debutante through to the 62-mile Tour, while runners can choose between a 10K and half marathon.
The event is all about combining an active challenge with fundraising, with participants encouraged to create a JustGiving fundraising page and collect sponsorship to support cancer services across Somerset.
