The Sundowner 5K Series returns for summer 2026, offering runners three relaxed evening races across some of Edinburgh’s most beautiful parks. Organised by Blast Running, the series is perfect for runners looking to enjoy a fast 5K after work, whether you’re chasing a personal best, building confidence, or simply running for the social atmosphere.
About the Event
The series takes runners to three iconic Edinburgh green spaces throughout the summer:
- 1 July – Leith Links
- 26 August – Fettes
- 9 September – Inverleith Park
Each event follows a well-marked 5K course through park paths and open green spaces, creating a friendly and traffic-free environment for runners of all abilities. You can enter a single race or commit to the full three-race series to track your progress over the summer.
With supportive marshals, chip timing and a welcoming atmosphere, the emphasis is firmly on enjoying your running while challenging yourself. Whether you’re aiming for a new PB or simply enjoying an evening jog with hundreds of fellow runners, the Sundowner Series offers something for everyone.

- Registration opens: 5:30 PM
- Race starts: 6:30 PM
- Maximum 250 runners per event
