Celebrate Halloween with a scenic trail adventure at the Dalmeny Halloween Trail Half. Organised by Blast Running, this autumn event takes runners through the stunning landscapes of Dalmeny Estate and Cammo Nature Reserve, combining woodland trails, riverside paths, and rolling farm tracks in one of the most picturesque half marathons near Edinburgh.

About the Event

Starting from Longcraigs Scout Hall in South Queensferry, the Dalmeny Halloween Trail Half offers a challenging yet accessible route suitable for both experienced trail runners and those tackling their first off-road half marathon. The course features less than 1,000 feet of elevation, providing enough climbing to keep things interesting without becoming overly technical.

Runners will enjoy a varied mix of wooded trails, open countryside, riverside paths and estate tracks, all while taking in spectacular views around Dalmeny Estate. The welcoming atmosphere, excellent organisation and Halloween theme have helped make this one of Scotland’s most popular autumn trail races.

An optional £1 donation from every entry supports the South Queensferry RNLI, with participants able to contribute additional fundraising if they wish.
