Summer Race the Neighbours returns for 2026, bringing together runners from across North London for a friendly but competitive 10K through the streets of East Finchley and Muswell Hill. Organised by the North London Hospice, the event combines stunning views, community spirit, and a touch of neighbourhood rivalry, all while raising funds for vital hospice care services.
About the Event
The race follows a scenic 10K route through some of North London’s most attractive residential areas, including East Finchley and Muswell Hill. Along the way, runners can enjoy panoramic views across London while taking part in one of the capital’s most community-focused running events.
What makes Race the Neighbours unique is its postcode competition. Participants represent their local area, competing not only for individual honours but also for neighbourhood pride. The coveted Cherry Tree Cup is awarded to the postcode area with the fastest average finishing time, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
Runners of all abilities are welcome, whether you’re targeting a personal best, running your first 10K, or simply looking to support a fantastic cause.

Not local? No problem. Runners from anywhere are welcome and can simply take part in the event without representing a competing postcode.
