 ith well-stocked aid stations roughly every mile offering water\, squash\, 
 sweets and other fuel to keep participants going. Marshals provide full sup
 port throughout the day. The spooky challenge later in the afternoon/evenin
 g encourages head torches for safety and adds an extra atmospheric dimensio
 n as dusk falls. Fancy dress is encouraged for both events to enhance the H

 off time of around 6 hours for the marathon and longer distances\; early en
